Marshmellow Towel - UCHINO

Winner of the 2020 Hospitality Selection Gold Award (winner for 4 consecutive years from 2017 to 2020), Super Marshmallow is created with Uchino’s two patented technologies. The miracle-like towel is surprisingly light and soft despite its volume, and it has achieved a touch just like "marshmallow" that changes the concept of towels so far.

Rare extra-long staple cottons are spun into superfine 60-count yarn, which is extraordinary for towels. The weaving machine speed is slowed significantly to prevent damage to the delicate yarn and the yarn twist is reversed at the end to achieve premium softness. Because the yarn is very thin and soft, the towel adheres closely to the skin for excellent absorbency and wiping capability.

At Uchino, we also insist on combing the cotton when spinning the yarn to remove the short fibres so there is very little shedding fluff.
